This Year was a little bit different for me. I had my own team, my partnered team, and I had several pigeon racers who teamed up with my birds.

Our family would like to thank BB Loft for helping pave the way for our passion, which now connects three generations of our family. This year mark the return of the Plasse family to the world of racing pigeon. For this year racing season (2023), we acquired 5 young pigeons from BB Loft to race at the Niagara Peninsula One Loft Race and it was so exciting to follow the performance of such great youngsters.

Sacred North Lofts

For Scared North Lofts, pigeon racing is a passion that is lived within the family. Whether in Saint-Jacques (QC) or in Mascouche (QC), girls aged between 2 and 10 get involved with the lofts and are fascinated by the birds that make them up. Marylou and Élyane (Mascouche) will also have their own team of young pigeons in 2024 with a Unikon to participate in the races of the Fédération Colombophile du Québec. The girls are until now the youngest participants and therefore, the youngest clients at BB loft since Bernie offered quality pigeons so that they could be competitive within Club Laval.


We have closely followed the OLR since our beginnings in order to stay informed of the performances of different Canadian breeders. It’s a golden opportunity to have the support of a great runner like Bernie Bédard.


Thank you Bernie for your generosity, your help and your support towards us and our families. Marylou and Élyane will have a solid team for their first racing season and it will be particularly thanks to the pigeons who come from you.

Pour Scared North Lofts, la colombophilie est une passion qui se vit en famille. After I moved to Canada in 2006, I had to quit racing Pigeons in my hometown. In 2021 I decided to get back into this sport.


During my search for successful breeders, I found Bernie and I am more than grateful I did. I Flew Bernie's Grootjans Bloodline last 2020 Young bird race here in B.C. and NR 114 cock flew very well for me. 114 was given to me as a young bird by a good friend of mine Rod Baccay (3 Legged Loft) that bought birds from Bernie in his last auction at Pigeon Choice. I am very satisfied about the birds performance. So from then I decided to go back to find out more about the Grootjans Bloodline. With the help of Bill Voulgaris (V & V Loft) he gave me Bernie's phone number. And just after 1 week the 7 Young birds arrived here in Aldergrove B.C.

When a person has his first bit of success, everyone considers him lucky. When it happens more than once, he has horse shoes hidden in in certain parts of his body. Maybe so, but I think there’s a lot more than luck involved. Number one, nice guys finish first and number two, those that share always get back. A nicer man than Bernie and his family, you have never met. At the drop of a hat, they’re all there to give you a hand. Need to borrow a bird or an extra pair of youngsters, Bernie will help. But, luck played it’s part.

Lucky for him he listened when I suggested a pair of birds that would help him. Lucky for me, they worked and lucky for both of us, we found a few more to blend in. But there is where the luck stops and intelligent breeding and terrific care for his birds helped Bernie create a family of birds that have the will and the ability to succeed.

In 2019 you sent me a Mealy Hen 0308, to date she has bred CU 11729 10th. Place Burks Falls, 11720 Griz equal first Powassan, CU 11726 Mealy 23rd Mattawa, CU 11721 Mealy 1st. Temiscaming. These results can be verified via the Oshawa racing pigeon club and the North Eastern Federation….these are all 2020 results.

Over the years I have imported many good pigeons from all over the world….nothing close to this Mealy Hen as a producer of super pigeons. As a matter of fact, I will challenge ANYONE in this country to show me a yearling hen or cock that has produced like 0308, keep in mind that we are now entering our fifth race of the season and I am confident her offspring’s will continue to score in the remaining races of the program.

I met Bernie at a Canadian Racing Pigeon Union convention that was held in Ottawa many years ago. I soon realized that Bernie was a real passionate of pigeon racing. Afterwards, I met Bernie and his family at the Empire Classic One loft Races and then, at the Salem One loft Races. I once again realized that Bernie was a real competitor. Like we say ". Bernie is the real one when it comes to One Loft Races". The results of his birds in the past years prove that Bernie's birds are on the top of the list when it comes to One Loft Races. In the past years, Bernie has acquired the best birds available. Birds that perform in One loft races but his true talent, in my humble opinion, is the fact that Bernie knows how to pair his birds and raise youngsters that become champions in the One Loft Races. I have been keeping and raising racing pigeons for over thirty (30) tears and during those years I have bought and importe birds from Belgium, from the Netherlands and from Florida. When I noticed all the success that Bernie was having with his birds, I decided to contact him and see if I could acquire some youngsters. Since I have total confidence in Bernie, I asked him to choose the youngsters for me, which he did of course. These youngsters are now in my loft and they look great. I am certain that I will have great success with them. Once again, thank you Bernie.

J'ai connu Bernie lors d'une convention du Canadian Racing Pigeon Union qui se tenait à Ottawa il ya plusieurs années. J'ai vite à constaté que Bernie était un vrai passionné des courses de pigeons voyageurs. Par la suite, j'ai rencontré Bernie et sa famille lors de l'Empire Classic et, à la Salem One Loft Race. J'ai encore une fois été, à même, de constater que Bernie était un vrai compétiteur. Comme on dit "Bernie est un vrai de vrai". Les résultats de ses pigeons au cours des dernières années le prouvent amplement. Bernie à su au cours des années se procurer de bons pigeons qui performent dans les "One loft Races" mais son plus grand talent, à mon humble avis, réside dans le fait qu'il sait comment accoupler ses pigeons afin d'en faire des champions. Je garde et élève des pigeons voyageurs depuis plus de trente (30) ans et au cours de ces années, j'ai acheté et importé des pigeons de la Belgique, des Pays Bas et de la Floride. Après avoir constaté la qualité des pigeons de Bernie et du succès remporté par ceux-ci, j'ai décidé de contacter Bernie afin de me procurer des pigeonneaux.
